ScriptBio AI is building a human-data-first platform to identify and prioritize potential drivers of age-related disease. By combining human single-cell data, biological foundation models, causal inference, and structured evidence synthesis, we aim to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners make better target decisions earlier in drug discovery.
Our mission is to extend human healthspan by finding disease-driving biology early enough to support better therapeutic decisions before damage becomes irreversible.
Knee osteoarthritis is our initial validation program and a focused test case for evaluating the platform in human cells.

Many disease datasets contain thousands of biological changes, but the signals that accompany disease are not always the mechanisms that drive it. ScriptBio AI is designed to distinguish potential drivers from downstream effects and organize the evidence needed to prioritize experimental validation.
By improving target decisions at the beginning of drug discovery, ScriptBio AI aims to help partners concentrate experimental resources on the biology most likely to matter.

Founder & CEO
Patrick Ovando Roche is a scientist and biotechnology leader with more than 16 years of experience spanning stem cell biology, gene editing, regenerative medicine, process development, and cell therapy. His work has included therapeutic programs at Astellas, Sana Biotechnology, CRISPR Therapeutics, Harvard Medical School, UCL, and Imperial College London.
He founded ScriptBio AI in part through his family’s experience with neurodegenerative disease, after his father developed Parkinson’s disease and his mother Alzheimer’s disease. That experience strengthened his conviction that better human biological evidence can produce better starting points for drug discovery. Patrick is an MIT Sloan Fellows MBA graduate and holds a PhD in human pluripotent stem cell biology from Imperial College London.
